Betty Kaczynski
Betty Kaczynski (BS, MS) has spent the past 25 years in the field of education. She has worked as a children's teacher, administrator and college instructor. After a number of years as Sequim week-enders, about six years ago, Betty and her husband moved to Sequim full time. Dogs and cats have always been a part of their family.
Betty "found" Legacy when searching for some help with a challenging puppy who was living with her at the time of their move. She has participated with her dogs in Pet Dog Manners, Dog Scouts, Rally and CGC. Currently two dogs, two cats and six chickens reside with the Kaczynski's. Maxi, a Husky/German Shepherd/Lab mix, is a twelve year old rescue dog. Recently adopted is Bonny, a Border Terrier puppy.
Betty's activities at Legacy increased her interest in dog training as a professional. She has worked as a part of the staff for over four years, first as an Assistant Instructor and later as a Lead Instructor. As Legacy began to offer clicker training workshops with chickens, Betty was quick to participate and volunteer. She frequently supports the workshops as Chief Chicken Wrangler. And, yes, also experiments with clicker training on her own chickens.
Betty is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is working toward certification as a Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT).
