Home Alone
Thursday, July 10, 2008
7:00-8:30 pm
When left home alone, some dogs act out in troublesome ways. You might come home to discover your furniture chewed on or your door scratched. Perhaps your dog had diarrhea or his mouth and coat are wet from stress panting and drooling. A generalized term for this type of behavior is the Latchkey Dog Syndrome. The dog is not doing this to get even with you for leaving him alone. His actions are a reaction to his environment. This type of behavior can be prevented or improved. Find out more by attending the Home Alone workshop.
Barking
Thursday September 4, 2008
7:00-8:30 pm
It's normal for dogs to bark. Barking too much, too loudly, or at the wrong times is a problem, for the dog and for those nearby. Determining why your dog barks is the first step to problem solving. Find out more about inappropriate barking and how to prevent or decrease this behavior at the Barking workshop.
